Example #13757138 of why I can't wait for the AI hype bubble to burst.

As companies increasingly turn to A.I. to sift through thousands of job applications, candidates are concealing instructions for chatbots within their résumés in hopes of moving to the top of the pile. The tactic has become so common that companies are updating their software to catch it.
Recruiters Use A.I. to Scan Résumés. Applicants Are Trying to Trick It.
In an escalating cat-and-mouse game, job hunters are trying to fool A.I. into moving their applications to the top of the pile with embedded instructions.

Part of my problem is I've run out of shelf space in my home office.

Just realised that the next two weeks include 4 days of work, a 4-day weekend, and another 4-day work week.

This is Denni. She took an unexpected babysitting shift when she found a baby koala in her yard. She cheerfully delivered the joey to her human, who put them back in the tree to be reunited with their mom. 14/10 (FB: Steve Lamplough)
Denni, a golden retriever with a sweet face, sits and looks up at the camera with a smile. she has a passenger clinging to her back. a baby koala. the joey's eyes peak over the top of Denni's head. Denni is standing and looking off to the left of the frame. the baby koala on her back looks at the camera. a super zoomed photo of the baby koala and their mom high up in a tree. the adult koala holds onto her joey and looks down at the camera with what we would like to think is appreciation for caring for her baby.

Man, I'm sorry, but reading all these AI generated essays from students, it just sucks all the joy out of everything. It's exhausting, makes you into a weird paranoid cop, grinds you down, wastes your time, makes you feel like shit about everything.

Fuck this shit technology and all its enablers.

Also, if there's a new item in the notifications tab or whatever is no longer announcing. You used to hear like "notifications 2 new tab 4 of 5."

I won't lie, there's a little bench-like corner in my shower. It mostly gets used as a place to put stuff, but being able to sit briefly every once in a while is hella nice.

That world does, in fact, exist. I can confirm.

VoiceOver is announcing that there are 6 tabs at the bottom, so like "profile tab 5 of 6."

I have a Ninja blender and I don't think it's too bad, but YMMV.

I'm not immediately aware of any resources specific to transit apps. Admittedly I specialize more in web a11y, but I'd suspect that the same general rules apply for all apps. When traveling, I use Google Maps for route planning, it works well with iOS VoiceOver. cc: @wandrme.paxex.aero

@skeetsapp.com :If I try to post a pic from the share sheet the app crashes when I go to add alt text. Been going on for a while now. Please fix.

isn't that the... opposite of how copyright works?

I miss my 50-year streak of not knowing who the Secretary of Health is or anything about them.
