So damn excited for Stranger Things season five.. Growing up with this cast for the past 10 years has been a privilege and one of the coolest experiences in my life as a movie/tv lover.

No. The poor word of mouth is it's failure. Sci-fi is also a hard pull for audiences outside of big franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek.

No, Disney overestimated how strong the Tron brand was and the movie isn't anything to rave about. Obviously his casting didn't help, but to claim it caused this movie to bomb is a tad unrealistic.

Though hailed for groundbreaking visuals (the initial entry was one of the first movies to extensively use CGI), "Tron" has never been a hugely commercial film franchise; the first movie ended up grossing $50 million worldwide against a $17 m budget, while the second installment earned $400 m globally against a $170 m budget. The third installment is the most expensive yet with a price tag of $180 m.
