The weather has started to turn from cozy fall to the icy shards of winter. I keep a heat charm on me, maintaining a comfortable blanket of warmth, but I shake my head at Éd's t-shirt. Leaves crunch under our boots on the long stretch of grass between our dorms and the weapons hall.

I'm a day late but it was...a week 🤦 Migraines took me out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and I was confused and foggy all week. Ugh. I still got some writing done, but definitely not what I'd hoped for

My WIP is set mainly at a magic university, the Roanoke Institute, though they visit a few other places. The time period is 1968-69, though wizards are much more progressive and technologically advanced so it doesn't really reflect the time period in ideology, technology, or jargon

-Finish the chapter I'm on (it's very heavy) and start another
-Work on fixing my outline for the rest of the book
-Finish typing up my notes for my proofreading course

...So, when a series of poisonings plagues campus, Éd... Well, they try to fix it 😅 But the culprit is a slippery s.o.b. Even worse? He's the same incel who's been tormenting them since childhood. He says Letti is "his;" that he's the "alpha." But real werewolves are all about family, not dominance.

My current WIP is set at a magic university and follows a nonbinary shapeshifter, Éd, and their soul bonded werewolf mate, Letti. I made a moodboard for each of them. Everything Éd does, they do for Letti, and vice versa...

#Writers, where do you find your critique partners and/or beta readers? I really need to find a good critique partner. I've been in and out of a few discord servers but big groups really intimidate me and the small groups aren't very active 😕 I'm willing to try dipping into a big group but 🤷

Wizards definitely do have pride celebrations but werewolves in particular go hard on theirs. There are various festivals throughout the year, but June through August is considered pride season with events nearly every weekend. Werewolves, in general, frickin love parties.

Most of my MCs' family is queer, including almost all of their siblings. Éd (MC) is a nonbinary lesbian. Their cousin, a gay trans guy, also spends most of his time with the family. Queerness is somewhat more accepted in magic society, but it's especially so in werewolf culture.
