@nyugamecenter.bsky.social So I got an email approving me to attend the Thursday playtest. It implies that it's only good for today, but I recall it saying I needed to fill out the form only once per semester. Do I need to fill the form again?

@bluedevilduke.bsky.social Do you think you'll do another solo game design panel at Unpub next year?
zintismay.bsky.social
Sheet's been updated, slightly better formatting, and our friend @stoichamster.bsky.social helped fill in some ??? entries.
zintismay.bsky.social
Updated! Sounds like you've been busy lately :)

As long as you think it's reached enough that they didn't change their minds

Hey board game designers I made a list of Pax Unplugged publishers: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

"Would need to ask", means website and maybe contact, but their site doesn't mention submissions.

Leave a comment if I need to fix something up.

So I'm starting to do a rough write up of a designer diary for a upcoming project. Does anyone have a favorite one from BGG? I've read a few, but I don't think I've read enough to know what makes them great.

I'll look into it. It sounds like it's 80% there and I would need to figure out how to translate markdown to CSV or excel.

Someone else mentioned Twine, and that'll be the other one I look into.

Thanks!
zintismay.bsky.social
Is this more of a custom job? Like did you write your own program to hold all the data?
zintismay.bsky.social
Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't know Twine could ship a CSV at the end.

I'm trying to avoid a situation where I map out all the content in one tool and then have to manually transfer that into the spreadsheet format to make the cards.
zintismay.bsky.social
My challenge is that with narrative games the content gets rather complicated, so I'm trying to find other ways to plot out the card content in an organized way (like a network graph), but then still be able to make cards. So turning that graph into a spreadsheet, or turn the nodes into images.
zintismay.bsky.social
So big picture is that I'd like some methodology that allows me to plot out a bunch of related content; locations, characters, etc... and then be able to turn those into cards.

My usual workflow is a spreadsheet and templating software; data and image names go in, cards come out.

Any game designers on here have tips for working on narrative driven tabletop games? I'm currently trying to build a card game which is kind of choose-your-own-adventure, but the format you have to keep the cards (spreadsheets) is not really conductive of branching storylines.

@renegadegamestudios.com so I have a game design question. When designing a narrative game, maybe using cards, how do you keep track of all the content?
