On Oct. 23, @alanrozenshtein.com gave remarks on how artificial intelligence could eliminate many of the remaining constraints on presidential power at the University of Toledo Law School’s Stranahan National Issues Forum. Read his speech: www.lawfaremedia.org/article/the-...
The Unitary Artificial Executive
Previous expansions of presidential power were still constrained by human limitations. Artificial intelligence eliminates those constraints.

Go on... What is this agreement?
I just read your delightful brief again, thank you. As a layman, this seems to be the relevant summary. bsky.app/profile/mart...

New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people

As far as Zuckerberg goes, let me just say it is a depressing time to be reading "Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism". A good read. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Careles...

For all the harm social media has done politically, it is truly a game changer for collecting and amplifying videos and photos recorded by *anyone* for use as evidence in court. Literally crowd sourcing.

Why are Trump-supporting oligarchs spending a fortune to defeat @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social?

Because they fear Mamdani's people-powered movement will end their plunder and finally make NYC affordable for the working class.

Zohran is charting a path forward where billionaires have less power.

They say they did so w/out conferral out of concern the feds are “simply ignoring the court’s TRO.”

Building is always harder than destroying. I'd bet it never actually gets finished in any usable capacity. I'm sure those in the field have some good ideas once we start to understand the supply chain of materials, delivery and labor.
Clearly the administration uses Signal because disappearing messages mean everything is off the record in their strange incoherent reality. That isn't new, but we have another confirmation now. Halligan may legitimately (but incorrectly) believe this is true based on what others model.

Last weekend, @annabower.bsky.social started to receive Signal messages from the U.S. attorney who is leading the prosecution of Letitia James.

Throughout the exchange, Lindsay Halligan complained about Bower’s tweets and reporting on the indictment–but never once asked to be off the record.
“Anna, Lindsey Halligan Here.”

A terminology note: AI can't lie because it can't think or reason. The corollary is it can't tell the truth. It can only bullshit. The operators of Grok can and do program it to try to skew answers, but put that on the humans not the dumb computer. ChatGPT, Gemini, etc are all bullshitters.

Trickle-down economics was always a sham.

Nothing has ever trickled down.

Andrew Cuomo is incapable of speaking clearly and directly about Trump’s authoritarianism.
Data is resistance. Sharing is resistance. #opendata
Trump doesn’t like data. He wants investors, consumers, and everyone else to be in the dark, so he can lie without fear of factual contradiction. He can create even more of a fantasy world. He can pretend that he’s been wildly successful even when he’s been a terrible failure.
