I have a complicated relationship with Woody Allen. I'll never be able to watch Manhattan again. I always found it disturbing, but some of his other movies are so charming and beautiful. I also love Hannah and Her Sisters.

One of my favorite Diane Keaton movies is Manhattan Murder Mystery. It's a Woody Allen movie (unfortunately) but she is so funny in it and totally carries the movie.

Someone talked about criminals fitting into two classes: those we're afraid of and those we're mad at. The ones we're mad at need to be rehabilitated. The ones we're afraid of need to be evaluated on a case by case and possibly separated from society, but humanely.

And no private prisons. Ever.

Now that white people are experiencing what Black and Brown and LGBTQ people have experienced for 400 years, when this is all over, we need to make sure state violence is abolished in all its forms. Prisons need to be rehabilitative, cash bail banned, & law enforcement needs to be accountable.

Shooting someone in the head at that close range even with "non-lethal" weapons can kill a person. No different than throwing a rock or hitting someone with a blunt object.
