As I am going to be upgrading my system with the newest 50 series graphics card so I can better produce my content in 4k and I figured I'd take the opportunity to share some love and do a giveaway. I would just give away a graphics card, but giving money is easier and people can just spend it on whatever they want. There will be two winners, each recieving $3000 USD. You will recieve the equivalent in your chosen currency e.g 3000 USD is 4,745.41 AUD. You will be contacted via email and social media. I will track you down based on the info you give basically. The money will be sent preferably via Wise or Paypal, but I will organize it with the winner via whatever means necessary due to the large amount. Winner will be announced publicly via community post, discord announcement, and Twitter/Blue Sky post.

Finally got my #fedora linux computer all backed up. I've postponed it long enough. The tools used is #borg managed by #borgmatic backing up my system every day. Then #healthchecks.io makes sure the backups are working

They promised me that RCS would make texting with iphone users better, but now every time I send I MMS text, it sends my text back to me, SMS and MMS are now separate so when a iphone user without a new phone sends me a photo, it sends it in a new chat (just MMS) Plus.. 1/2

Love the new @zen-browser.app update! It looks so zen-y and I think I like that. Hopefully it will fix the random crashing that has been happening every day for the past few weeks. Either way, love that it's firefox so I can keep using my favorite extension addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo...

This is the main reason I don't like mastodon. The whole everyone on their own network makes sense, but in practice is really clunky. I like the idea of decentralized data much more.

no! you're confusing this with mastodon.
on bluesky, the thing getting decentralized is where the data is stored. it does not fragment your user experience or change where you log in.

This is the main reason I don't like mastodon. The whole everyone on their own network makes sense, but in practice is really clunky. I like the idea of decentralized data much more.

Is there no way to search for a hashtag on bluesky? Like in the search field when I type starting with a # it only searches for users. The only way to get to a hashtag is to go to bsky.app/hashtag/[has... or click on in a post

My only issue with bluesky is I do like the #fediverse and bluesky seems to be just one central company
