Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Sounds like someone hasn’t started their own Trump backed crypto coin.
Personally, my experience of this government compared to the last one is things are getting noticeably worse (and more right wing) in multiple ways. I'm not aware of anything that's getting better.

If someone is able to minimize the evils of slavery, they will be able to minimize the contents of the Epstein files.

There is nothing that can be revealed about this man that will turn his followers against him.

Watched several vehicles hug the back of a neonatal ambulance as it carved its way through rush hour traffic.

I hate what cars do to us.

I’m sitting on a plane that has been sent back to the gate while balancing a toddler on my lap because the worlds most powerful southern Baptist is utilizing all of his power to protect pedophiles from being exposed.

What a wild time to be alive.

Reporting from the front.

Brooklyn has fallen. They are confining the children to fenced facilities called “playgrounds”

TurboTax makers Intuit have lobbied the government for years to block free public tax-filing.

Now Trump has terminated the free IRS Direct File program, nearly a year after Intuit gave his inauguration $1M.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

These Boomers are governing like they parented.

They are withholding care in order to change behavior and maintain power.

Congressional Republicans would like you to believe that their hands are tied, that they would like to help, but they can’t because the Democrats have taken Congress hostage.

But, Trump keeps undercutting their messaging by showing that we can feed people, we are just choosing not to.

I feel like we aren’t giving Trump enough credit for making aspiring white male conservative influencers who have never been to Memphis feel safer in Memphis.

People don’t believe crime statistics now because they are going down and that doesn’t fit their narrative.

I grieve that this man is one of the most visible Christians in the world.
Mike Johnson talks about the Republican "healthcare plan" like it's highly classified information: "We're not gonna be on a conference call explaining all our plans and strategies for healthcare reform, because they're leaked in real time."

If you think shutting down SNAP because some people abuse the system

justifies making those who need it starve,

you have a moral sickness.
October 31, 2025 at 12:52 PM
If someone doesn’t trust govt employees who teach kids or determine SNAP benefits but do trust government agents who shoot citizens and disappear people into unmarked cars. . .

What do these beliefs reveal about how that person perceives themself?

A fascist government cuts food benefits to its most needy families,

And when that desperation bears fruit in criminality, the government justifies increased harm against its citizens and magically finds the funds to do so.

Never enough to help always enough to harm.

Every portion of our government is a grift for millionaire vendors to overcharge the taxpayer to convert public funds to private wealth.

And many of yall are mad that some poor people are getting too many groceries.
