Mostly harmless
It's taken until game week 11 for me to realise Ally McCoist is saying Darren, not 'Darling.' I was happier in ignorance.

I wonder if the commentary team on the Villa match are battling intrusive thoughts.

Does religion need VAR, and what impact will it have on congregations? Is there a place for semi automated psalms?

I think the office environment could be improved if we returned to grasping a business opponents tie and, with a sharp yank, shrinking the knot while saying 'peanut.'

It's only hearing the real Matt Berry doing a voice over that carries the correct level of menace. Like a velvet car crash.

Hmm, LiVARpool Vs Real VARdrid. Something had to give. The refs look of panic when the video assistant screamed you've just given a penalty against Real Madrid 😂

New Fall of Civilisations pod!! 5.29 hours of lovely history. Joy 😊

I wonder if we'll see reduced or repackaged Poppy Rage this Poppy Rage season, as Remembrance Sunday becomes an awkward reminder of exactly who those being remembered were fighting against.

Unplanned viewing of the F1 qualifying and I have notes: For me the busy screen layout undermines the drama a lot; prioritising the stats and diminishing the driving that creates them, with a palette is so uniform that it seems to flatten the whole screen to something like a rolling news station.1/3

Just watched an excellent history of Rapa Nui which has left me deeply sad for "Our Stolen Friend." They called the Moai friends, and the British empire stole them. The arrogance.

I don't think this uturn alone will cut it for Disney, but they do have another voice at their disposal.

One that will never be cruel, never be cowardly.

That remembers hate is always foolish, but love is always wise.

Who always tries to be nice, but never fails to be kind...

I also heard someone cheer the equaliser several gardens over several seconds before it went on my sky TV. Which was nice.

Having Donnarumma and Haaland in the team seems slightly unfair, and also lots of doubled letters.

Hadn't heard the Hitchhiker's Guide phases 2 and later. Maybe not as good as the 1st, but could be an ideas gold mine for doctor who stories. Doug Adams introducing capitalist use of time travel, over writing the past to meet present day construction deadlines, feels like a season arc in itself.

Just stumbled across Jonathan Meades 'Off Kilter' episode about Aberdeen (part 1/3 if you're watching on YouTube) where, in 2009, Meades annihilates Trump, pointing out his businesses failed owing 900 million.

Conspiracy kids are stupid.

I wonder if United's contract team pointed out Arsenal's ongoing issues with the pgmol during their negotiation for Heaven's signature?

There was an obvious opportunity to emphasise the comparison between Lewis Skelly and Martinez treatment, over the last match weekend.

Twin Peaks season 3 might be my favourite thing.

Section 31 was... something? I didn't hate it. Not sure I've ever been left so confused by production.

As a veteran of neverwinter, pillars of eternity, Baldurs gates 1 & 2, kingmaker and wrath of the righteous, I expected to enjoy Baldurs Gate 3. But it's just not much fun.

I feel kinda bad for any casual gamer, or anyone on a budget (either money or time) who got caught out by the hype.

Capaldi in series 2 of The Devil's Hour is very Doctor in places.

Might start calling it the Wolf of Hall Street

Watched that No Time To Die last night and it seemed like it was a struggle to make. On the surface it ticked every box, and everything bar the script was slick and well delivered. But it lacked imagination, it lacked a style or tone, locations were jumped between without even bothering with linking

The new Fall of Civilizations is fantastic and I'll be saying Chengus endlessly

Just saw someone randomly post a picture of Jonathan Meades. This is the correct website. I'm at peace.
