Honestly didn't care for this one at all. Dexter acts super out of character, to the point of retconning previous character development, all for the sake of setting him up for his final fall. It being the longest one too doesn't help, since it just feels like padding.

The introduction of Mecha Doakes was great, though I'm still up in the air on Dexter's Newtype powers and showdown against the primal God of Murder itself, but it was a fun time.

Incredible book, worthy of all the praise it gets. As a late bloomer myself (didn't lose my virginity or even have my first kiss till 22) the part about realizing "Oh, none of this stuff is alien or unreachable anymore" after the fact hit real close to home lol. Whole book is relatable though.
