Just opened a Nature Valley bar. Am basically drowning in crumbs. This might be the end of me.

Feeling like Scott Pilgrim waiting for his Amazon delivery straight after ordering it with the email I just sent. I know I won't get a reply for a little while, but that won't stop me constantly refreshing my inbox. Just in case, you know... 🤞🏻 #amquerying

I feel like my brain chemistry has been rewired after watching the Wicked movie last night. My feelings about the show remain the same (pretty mediocre, unfortunately) but the film... Unbelievable. I finally feel like I 'get it' 💚🩷

Living the editing lifestyle with a white hot chocolate. I've never been prouder of anything I've written and I can't wait for it to hopefully see the light of day. Dark academia, untrustworthy friendships, mysterious therapy programmes, and horrifying truths... Yeah, I like this one 😊

Two of my favourite readss of the last few years. Like 'The Last of Us' but with chaotic gays instead of zombies, twisted cults, and movie references for days. I love, love, LOVE these books! @erikjbrown.bsky.social
Do you love romance and genre fiction? You might like my duology about two teens surviving the apocalypse, falling in love, trying to survive, and figuring out how to stay in love with the new world threatening to change who they are. Buy them wherever you buy books!

My fifteenth book comes out this year, yet still, every time I write another, I’m convinced I’ve completely forgotten how to do it. Every time.

But my motto: real writers don’t write, they write anyway.

I'm trying to make the gym a regular part of my routine, and I think true crime podcasts are the solution to boredom! Give me some recommendations, because I'm almost done with Kill List (which has been terrifying, chilling, thought-provoking, and addictive!) and I need my next fix! 😊

For my queer YA thriller, I've 'cast' my characters for the first time and come on, look at this lot! I can be proud of a film that'll never be made, right?
- Andrew Scott as an evil headmaster
- Sian Brooke or Keira Knightley as a twisted psychiatrist
- Sarah Lancashire as the narrators mum

Hard to describe the actual pain of seeing an organisation that stuck their neck out for JAMIE now platforming a notorious transphobe. We’re not even a full week into January and this is how we’re rolling?

Three episodes into Squid Game 2 and it has completely dispelled every concern I had about whether a second series was needed. As tense and thrilling as the original, but with enough shocks and surprises to keep it fresh. Very much on board with wherever this goes! 🐙 #SquidGame2

Bit late to the party, but here are some my favourite books read in 2024 (not all of these were released last year and they’re in no particular order).

If I had to recommend 3 things to writers (at all levels), I would start with these 3 (with options for adding more):

1. Be persistent.
2. Be curious about the world, people, history, everything. Expand your horizons. Curiosity is your soil, your ocean, your rock, your air.
3. Never stop learning.

I think I'm going to do a thread (are they called that here?) of all the films I've watched this year... Yes, I know I could post these on Letterboxd but I like conversations rather than typing into the void.

Anyway! Onwards! 🎥 🎬
