Unlike many other modern remakes, I was never under the impression that the FF7R series was meant to "replace" or substitute the original game, given the stark new direction of the former.
Kind of a crazy take to say "forget the originals" and let the remake be your first jump into a game.
Though you can't deny that it's all too natural to compare remakes to their original versions, no matter the game.

Excellent take from a legendary musician.
The only thing that felt missing was adding Knuckles in Sonic 1. Alas, linking the two unlocked the Blue Sphere mini-game instead.
Knuckles and Tails wouldn't (at least officially) be added until the mobile remaster, and of course now Origins has them and Amy playable in all the games.

Sonic & knuckles is one of my favourite sonic the hedgehog games one of my favourite things about sonic & knuckles is the lock on technology where it could be combined with sonic 1/2/3 it was the original dlc
