Two paintings. The one of the left is a green skinned Lizard folk ranger. Holding a bow and arrow stepping through some small brush on the hunt for their target. The painting on the right is a white furred, ruby eyed Ratfolk wizard. Her hand is sheathed in ice as she channels the frosty spell from her spell book held in her other hand. These are two examples of playable "folk" in my campaign setting called Noth. Both of these paintings can be found as stock art on DriveThruRPG. There are four paintings of Humanoid characters. The upper left is of a bald Dwarven fighter with a smoking pipe in one hand and his warhammer in the other. He has a large braided red beard decorated with metal trinkets and is wearing hexagonal scale-mail armor. His name is Cadrik and he was a character played by one of my best-friends in a campaign I ran over a decade ago. The lower left is a shifter barbarian named holding a greatsword and snarling; showing his fanged teeth. He wears a white fur cloak, leather bracers and a hide skirt. His eyes are piercing yellow like that of a wolf. His name is Spruce, he was a commission for a friend. The painting of on the right is a armor man wielding a flaming sword. His name is King Oliver Cornwallis, he was a painting did for the book Villains & Villagers for my client Headless Hydra Press. The center image is of a woman in an amethyst room sitting at a writing with a black quill in her hand. She has dark hair and is wear a gold colored outfit and golden jewellery. She has a piece of parchment laid out if in front of her, a candle to the left and a stamp, inkwell and roll parchment to the right. She has a stern look on her face. This is a painting of my partner's character Corrane. These are 12 painting of various items I have painted. Starting at the top left: 1) A quiver and arrows made of living plants. 2)A golden chalice depicting an angel & a demon. 3) A warhammer radiating cold vapor. 4) An axe glowing with intense heat. 5) A blue potion 6) A spell book with a large polished green set in the cover. 7)A metal latern hanging from a chain with a roiling orb of lava floating inside of it. 8) A "Judge Revolver" with two type of ammo it can use. 9)A candle with a dark flame emitting an unnatural green glow. 10) A wand made of various creatures bones. 11)A work in progress painting of a pump action shotgun. 12) A chainsaw with cloth wrapped grips. Many of the fantasy items I paint are based on items I have made from my own TTRPG campaigns. Most of these are (or will be in the near future) be on my DriveThruRPG shop as stock art. These are four paintings of creatures. The top left is a painting of a dark rat eating a small bit of food on a wooden surface. This was actually a painting of my rat Sumatra I made in celebration of her 3rd birthday. Rat lifespans are short so getting to the rip old age of 3 is a big deal. On the bottem left is an axe beak. A horse sized terror bird with an axe shaped beak. This one is fitted with a saddle and pack bags. I made this after the group in the campaign I've been running adopted a pair of their own. The painting on the upper right is of a very large cockroach next to a jawless human skull and rib bone. These also exist in my campaign setting. The lower right image is of a Ooze shaped like a goblin called a "Gooblin" This was an illustration I made for and item I wrote of the book "Petra's Guide to Potions and Poultices" by Paul Dean. I also painted the cover for that book too! It's available on DriveThruRPG. All of these creatures are also on DriveThruRPG as stock art

Writer's block/artist's block is when you try to run marathon after marathon without a recovery period. It's the body cramping up, still trying to process what you've accomplished. You can't do that without a cooldown.
Creative "cooldowns" are what boredom is.

My beard is so long now that it trails after my head. Overlapping action on my beard. This is Adam, by the way, not Ash. Ash's beard is tightly maintained. He's made the choice to not look like an asshole. Is that the correct choice? Who's to say?

I think since I lost my teaching job there is a good chance I will be kicked off my cheap health insurance soon. I have also decided I can't keep doing freelance work after my current spate of jobs. If anyone knows any full time art director or illustrator positions opening next year im all ears

Back to work on this TTRPG book cover!
Last 2 wks threw me for a loop, trying to complete this order ASAP. My BIL's situation being what it is, I'll need to step away from commissions for awhile. That means advertising my stock art over next month(s) is priority to help keep myself in the black.
