So sad to hear about the passing of the great D’Angelo. “Brown Sugar” and “Voodoo” were pretty much my education on what came to be known as neo-soul. I remember playing along to those records & learning what “behind the beat” really meant. RIP

I once became claustrophobic during an MRI and proceeded to sing Cat Stevens’ “Wild World” in my head on a loop for 30 minutes straight as a means to soothe myself. What an absolutely perfect piece of pop songwriting that tune is ✨
