Women deserve the freedom to move - yet many still feel unsafe cycling

No one should have to choose between a busy road or a dark path. When cycling’s safer for women, it’s safer for everyone 🚲

Proud that my Lib Dem colleagues and I stood up for people’s rights today, defeating Nigel Farage’s attempt to take the UK out of the ECHR. We’ll keep fighting to ensure the UK remains a country that defends equality, justice, and human rights.

Male entitlement writ large.
Male violence is definitely the way to persuade us all that these men should have access to women's services, provisions & sports.

Mark was copied into correspondence from May onwards about this issue, so it is a very fair question to ask why this change was made at this point given the issues were self-evident 6 months ago.

Don't be silly - of course it doesn't 'rewrite' the law. It interprets EA2010 as it was intended. People were (deliberately or misguidedly) misinterpreting the law, but feminists have been saying for many years this was wrong

I know!

How dare a woman expect her employers to follow the law and provide single sex facilities when she is bleeding through and needing to clean up the blood.

How dare she object to a semi naked man watching?

This new report may shock some people, but not me. I had to sit by while 2 school librarians, both involved in the Carnegies, one still prominent on Bluesky, agreed on X that they wouldn't shelve my award-winning books for children because of my gender critical views.

Why would our Parliament ever agree to amend equality law in favour of men and to the detriment of women? Plays like this one will help make Nigel Farage the next prime minister. Trump beat Harris, remember?

The only alternative to the SC ruling is to the detriment of women & their rights. At LD conference you said women needed ‘reassurance’ about allowing males in their spaces. We don’t need reassurance or patronising. We’re not 5. We want dignity, privacy, safety and fairness. We want our rights back
