The worst part for me of the covid inquiry is that their key findings are still calling preventions restrictions and implying only vulnerable people are at risk when we know long covid is also a risk to everyone. No mention of airborne transmission. Basically nothing has been learnt.

All public health officials and infectious disease experts who advocated for “you do you” and “be kind” and refused to listen to experts in adjacent fields like physics, engineering and industrial hygiene:

This is on you.

You fed the anti-science monster. Now it has taken over.
Disinformation escalation by RFK:

The CDC has now "repudiated its past insistence that vaccines do not cause autism after decades of fighting misinformation linking the two, blindsiding career staff and delighting anti-vaccine activists."

What to know:

Under RFK Jr., CDC promotes false vaccines-autism link it once discredited
The CDC’s website now says health authorities ignored evidence of a potential connection between vaccines and autism, despite dozens of studies showing no link.

Oh… oh no…
This is a very sad day for public health and evidence-based science in general.

At the #ICanCME2025 conference today!

Sabrina Poirier & Maeghan Taverner's intros blew me away.

~Acknowledging labor from people with lived experience
~Setting out expectations
~Moment of silence for those we've lost

This is what a conference designed by people with lived experience looks like 🧪

Thoroughly enjoying learning about ME at the @icancmeresearch.bsky.social conference. Thank you for putting this all together.

Yes and make it accessible to everyone. The biggest hurdle right now is the divided message that vaccination it’s important whilst blocking access to said vaccinations.
This is a great time to get your Covid booster shots!
“I think there’s a collective amnesia right now about COVID-19”

SARS-CoV-2 infections have been rising in the past month, and limited surveillance is hampering health strategies

I realize that we need more Covid safe HC providers. And there seems to be none around where I am… I got to thinking: if there was one, what would your expectations be? What services would you benefit from a CC HCW?

A new study suggests that
“Many COVID patients
needed 9 months
to regain baseline well-being,”
but how difficult it is
to be patient for those months
when during that time
so many of us
become Covid patients yet again.

Breaking NEW Study

A new scientific study was released covering 687,439 patients over a 4 year span...

Scientists found evidence that its possible that patients who saw a doctor’s smile did NOT, in fact, have better health outcomes than those who avoided BSL-3 virus infection.

Sick with something #1 brought from daycare. Tested negative once. Waiting to test again in 24 hours-ish.

I just want all this illness around us to end 😭

A family member has said they’ve find it strange that they know families with kids who are sick repeatedly, pneumonia, flu, ear infection, etc…

Asked our ped if baby should get Covid and flu vaccines and she said yes if we can and/or everyone else should be vaccinated. So I scheduled the appointment in a few weeks. Already dreading having to put up arguments to why she should have her vaccines with the nurses.

Baby’s at that stage where she doesn’t sleep well on account of learning something new… she’s been blowing bubbles the past two days 🥹

It’s exhausting but I remember when she was born just under 30 weeks wondering what the future would look like. Looks pretty average. Grateful for that.

I work in healthcare. I often second guess if my child needs to go to ER and will try my hardest to avoid it but it’s not always simple as that and it carries some risk. Expecting parents to know when to (not) go is ridiculous.

Coming to Bluesky after spending any amount of time on the other one feels like a massage to my brain.

Makes me nostalgic for the early Internet days.

Babe’s got the RSV antibodies and couldn’t be happier about this. So wish more people were masking, though.

Flu shots acquired! Now to get the littlest the RSV vaccine…

I just submitted my resignation letter bc they wouldn't accommodate for wfh part-time. The reason: an exception for you is unfair for others.
I was told of other positions that are vacant. Still, they'd rather lose an employee than make exceptions for retention.
