The #altcomics feed is undergoing some problems due to Blueskyfeedcreator (the feed provider we are using) changing the service they offer for free to feeds as this one:(so it seems now the free feeds only show posts from a sampling of the Bluesky network, rather than from the full network)

The #altcomics feed is undergoing some problems due to Blueskyfeedcreator (the feed provider we are using) changing the service they offer for free to feeds as this one:(so it seems now the free feeds only show posts from a sampling of the Bluesky network, rather than from the full network)

More and more authors are using the #altcomics tag to get included in the feed, but the feed is still not followed by many people that can benefit from it. 💬 Spread the word so more people interested in it use it! 💬 Here is a video on how to find the feed and how to pin it to home

I misunderstood the rule, it's character-based, not word-based. Now I tweaked the moderation rule so posts with any image with an alt-text longer than 600 characters won't be included in the #altcomics feed. It should be working now correctly.
A new moderation rule has been set to avoid spam. Posts with any image with an alt-text longer than 110 words won't be included in the #altcomics feed. Long alt-texts tend to be used to be included in as many feeds/searchs as possible. This can cause very adjacent posts to be included in this feed.

1) Posts linking to illegal content won't be shown in the feed. Constant posting of this kind of content by the same user will conclude in blocking them from the feed.

For a post to be shown in the Alt Comics feed, you need to include a hashtag like #altcomics on the post or in the alt-text field of one of the images in that post. If the post is a thread, the tag must be on the 1st post. The whole list of valid tags is here:

For a post to be shown in the Alt Comics feed, you need to include a hashtag like #altcomics on the post or in the alt-text field of one of the images in that post. If the post is a thread, the tag must be on the 1st post. The whole list of valid tags is here:
