📚 I don’t remember all of my American mythology.

But in chapter 1, I recall this story about tea…

✊🏾 Nonviolent resistance still needs to resist.

While I think that state-sanctioned parades can have some benefits,

🔎 I wonder why these efforts aren’t aiming to shut shit down.

If you don’t want ICE kidnapping your neighbors,

🎯 Then why not stand in their way?

🛑 I don’t want anyone going hungry.

And I’m not even really saying to avoid giving out food for the holiday.

⭐️ I’m asking you to think about why you’re not giving now?

⭐️ And whether you’ll keep giving after Halloween?

🎧 Which songs are helping you handle your emotions?

I’m wading through grief with spikes of fear and anger. 🔥

And I’m trying to process using music with a mix of those emotions.

In other words, if you hear me belting some emo today, then no you didn’t. 🤫

🎵 Wishing you a somber #SadSongSunday.

⭐️ How're you caring for yourself today?

I got off to a sluggish start, thanks to some brain fog. 😵‍💫

I've since been able to build momentum.

🎯 But being gentle with myself today has meant having compassion instead of contempt for my struggling.

It's a work in progress...

🌻 Do your plants need water?

🛑 These don't.

In fact, this section regularly gets flooded and then baked by the sun.

✅ Which is why I made it a summer project to transform the space, now named Sekhmet’s Serpent.

I didn’t complete all of my ideas this season, but I’m happy with the progress. 👍🏾

🌱 How’re your plants doing?

My basil cuttings are ready to be potted in soil. 👍🏾

Also, a couple of the pothos have grown enough for me to take some cuttings.
