My latest projection of the Patriots 2025 salary cap space number after accounting for Mack Hollins' LTBE incentive. Have the Patriots w/ $80.8M in cap space and $54.7M in effective cap space.

I am still waiting on details of these four deals (Bradbury, Chaisson, Jack Gibbens, Wes Schweitzer).

According to a source, the Patriots are showing interest in versatile offensive lineman Patrick Mekari. They're one of several teams interested in the free agent veteran www.masslive.com/patriots/202...

The Patriots played a long stretch of games last year where the only player who could even remotely impact the QB was Keion White. They’ve added 2 guys in Harold Landry & Milton Williams who can also get after the passer.

Pretty good. Lots of money but everyone's getting lots of money
The #Patriots are looking pretty good at CB…

Carlton Davis gets a 3yr, $60M deal, giving them a ball-hawking option opposite Christian Gonzalez.

WOW. That's a huge deal. My guess is NE didn't want to have a four year deal. Still got Cam Robinson out there.
Rap: LT Dan Moore to sign a 4-year, $82M deal with the Titans. $50 guaranteed.

The #Patriots should be shifting their focus to Levi Onwuzurike, wouldn’t be surprised to see a deal come together rather quickly.

Spillane is a solid player. Was very curious to see how the new staff would address the linebacker position, where the incumbent starters (Ja'Whaun Bentley and Jahlani Tavai) are *very* Belichick-coded starters.

Really wonder who ends up the odd man out there
LB Robert Spillane to the New England Patriots, per Jeremy Fowler. 3-years, $37M for the middle linebacker

Off the team?
Robert Spillane is a good signing if for no other reason than it takes Jahlani Tavai off the field.

Love the fit with Spillane in New England.

A former UDFA who is a physical presence in the middle of the defense.

Such a perfect Vrabel guy.

Deal for Spillane is for $37 million over 3 years. Not sure of the guarantees yet.
Listed Spillane as an excellent fit for the style of defense the Pats want to play on the All 32 pod Friday. Has had some injury issues, but when he's on the field, flows to the ball well.
Sources: The Patriots are signing standout LB Robert Spillane, the former Raider.

Spillane is one of those signings that just works. He isn't a headliner, but could easily be the top LB for this team. All-around well rounded.

Spillane was a highly productive 2-year starter in Las Vegas. He had 158 tackles, 2 INTs, 2 sacks and 7 PBUs last season.

Spillane entered the league as a UDFA under Mike Vrabel Tennessee in 2018.

At 6-foot-1 and 229 pounds, he represents the Pats' new prototype at LB.

Spillane has run defense grades of 89.0 and 87.3 the last two seasons. He isn't much of an asset in coverage, but he makes the Patriots better.

Another sign that the #Patriots are changing the scheme on defense. Spillane is a 229-pound ILB. Good downhill run defender and interior blitzer. Spillane plays fast, can really fly around.

No Chris Godwin. No Ronnie Stanley.

The #Patriots are already being forced to begin pivoting to Plan B at the top of their free-agent board. They need Milton Williams to prevent any further slide to Plan C.

I'd rather "miss out" on a WR2 cosplaying as a WR1 than overpay by more than half his total salary, giving myself less of an opportunity to fix other aspects of my dreadful roster.

IDK, maybe that's just me.
