Forgot to stop an activity on my watch and now my fitness log says “Yeah, two and half hours of stretching. Feels right.”
Finally listened to the Mammoth album in an attempt to clean up my 2025 list and it is the damndest thing. Very much in a post-grunge style (second wave butt-rock if I remember the @12tone.nebula.tv video right) but without a lot of the trappings that made a lot of the mid 2000s so embarrassing.

This is such a mess. The HBO Max "remastered" version of The Simpsons reveals that Duff, Duff Lite, and Duff Dry all come from the same pipe. 🙄

Maybe because I wasn’t cognizant for its true omnipresence, but something about the whole Whamageddon thing has never sat right with me.

Saw a new Simpsons as I imagine most do nowadays: leaving the TV on to start dinner during the 4th quarter of a football game.
I wish I could my finger on what’s so uncanny about modern episodes. It’s not like it was without jokes but something (rhythm? voice?) is unsettling.

I was able to share with my wife the theory that “Piano Man” is about the title character slowly realizing he took the gig at a gay bar. It did mean listening to the song again but it was worth it.
