We’re approaching the time when every show choir, church choir, and aspiring soloist needs to remember the biggest lesson of the holiday season: there are those who can sing O Holy Night and those who can’t. Overlapping the two groups is highly, highly discouraged.

10 years. Other than my wedding, I can’t think of a happier day in my life. Yearning for the sense of optimism and hope we felt that day to return.

More of this. Actions have consequences.
Four top partners at Paul Weiss announced they are leaving the law firm, a major blow following its decision to cut a deal with President Trump to head off an executive order that would have restricted its business.

Cynthia Erivo gave the best live musical performance I’ve seen. A generational talent who deserves every good thing that’s happening to her.

"If the founding history of this country is any guide, those who stood up in court to vindicate constitutional rights and, by so doing, served to promote the rule of law, will be the models lauded when this period of American history is written."

To the extent I have any power to decide, I will never under any circumstances hire Paul Weiss.
Brad Karp in a firm-wide email to Paul Weiss employees today:

“We will continue our proud, century-long legacy of courageously standing up for fundamental rights and liberties…That commitment is woven into our DNA; it was and will never be subject to negotiation or compromise.”

Oh, the irony.
