Please help my friend, Asma. Any amount you can give is so appreciated and can make a huge difference. Let's keep those little girls smiling!!

Since the declaration of the supposed ceasefire, the Israeli military has violated it an average of ten or more times a day, murdering hundreds of Palestinians, including scores of small children.

There is no peace in Gaza, nor in the West Bank. As the genocide continues, so must our resistance.

Whenever people claim archaeology isn't inherently political, some questions to ask them:

Who "owns" heritage?
What gets protected and why?
What stories are being told/preserved?
Whom do those stories serve?
Who gets to tell those stories?
Who controls access to the belongings and stories and why?
🏺 Again and again - our discipline has been crucial to genocide. Pretending otherwise is complicity.
Israel, which has obliterated most of Palestine’s archeological and heritage sites, including ancient churches, mosques, and temples, has suddenly discovered an urge to protect one from Palestinian ‘neglect’. It just so happens to be in the West Bank.

I can tell you anecdotally this is true - I'm in my late 20s and Instagram has gotten way more addicting since I got my account in 2014. I have enough self control to kinda rein it in, but I still struggle with deleting it (due to social connections I don't have elsewhere). It's a fuckin problem.
Newly unsealed internal communications from Meta reveal senior staff saying Instagram is a drug and "We’re basically pushers."

The new court filing reveals Meta staff allegedly worked for years to obscure the social media platform’s potential dangers from parents and children.

This thorough discussion of the way that these archaeologists use concepts such as carcerality as career boosters to make the Roman past seem 'relevant' while contributing to the erasure of Israeli state violence against Palestinians, shows that heritage is powerful, in service of power

It's not just Fox News and MAGA that have made it hell for trans people in recent years.

It's some of the "liberal" news outlets and centrist publications that made this possible too.

That's the revolution.
