Why is Apple able to detect and auto suggest translating conversations in messages, but can’t do it in safari.
In iPadOS “translate website” can’t be assigned to a keyboard shortcut, and can’t create a workaround through the shortcuts app.

After using Obisidian for a week, I’ve been pondering if this is the future of software.
A solid software that works out of the box, that allows users to own their data, but also extend the software to their liking.
Obsidian is great, but I feel what keeps users hooked, it’s making it their own.

It’s been just two days into using Obsidian and I’m liking a lot the experience.
It reminds me of the best things of Workflowy, the aesthetics are great, markdown is awesome and puts to shame Apple notes in how it handles collapsable sections and overall layout and structure of notes.

I’m an Apple Music user, and I’m noticing an incredible improvement in their “AutoMix” feature for song transitions.
Actually enjoying how the songs are blended together, feeling like a real DJ is working for you.

Regarding the meta glasses… do you really need another screen, the little amount of time you are not obligated to look at a screen for work?

I use apple music on my mac, and the sound felt a bit flat.
I want into the EQ (cmd+option E) and WOW, what a difference.

iOS 26 is out. Did all of you throw your iPhones to the trash due to the imposible to read and horrible UI you all said this new design system was when it was announced?

I still hope you could get a cellular Apple Watch without the need of having an iPhone.
That would be a hell of a no distraction experiment @jakeknapp.bsky.social

The iPad as a desktop works for some tasks, and the experience is nice, although the setup makes you think it can do more than it actually can.
I hope Apple irons out some of the glitches it still has with external display support and that more companies put the effort to create iPad specific apps

I’m going to really stress test the idea of “the iPad is a computer” in the next couple of months.
Will let you know how it goes.

Using a 5k monitor is very bad for you.
Everything else will look blurry after that making you want to spend money to replicate the eye massaging effect of that resolution

When I go on holiday, I normally write a “while I’m away” doc listing out what needs to happen and who needs to take care of it.
It’s incredibly satisfying, at least for me to have that on*paper
*nothing is actually on paper anymore, its just google docs

for the #designsystems folks out there… what’s your teams’s approach?
A) Hands off the wheel - un-opinionated enablers
B) Hands on the wheel - opinionated enforcers
Which one you wish you were?
