She may have voted no, but I just can't accept Heather standing behind Davies as he spouts his BS about the NDP vote.

God damn it. GOD DAMN IT.

Oh, and wherever you are out there, Elizabeth May, FUCK YOU TOO!

For the love of all that is. Can we PLEASE gain a new socialist party??
Every chance the NDP has a choice between principles and their own self-interest they slam the self-interest button so hard they forgot there was another button.

What makes the new* Liberals attractive to conservatives? Conservatives who are not only racist, ableist, and sexist but who for the last five years have spread conspiracy theories about the great replacement theory and vaccines and ostriches. This is not a flex to attract them, Liberals.

It’s a telling mark of Toronto’s puritanism that the bogeyman is people standing around having a quiet drink *outside*

Meanwhile the parade of cars driving along the residential street goes unremarked
The folks at IntegrityTO have finally weighed in on neighbourhood retail with AI generated scenes of creepy faceless loiterers congregating outside a 7-11…

Mind you the recommendation (that didn’t make it past committee) was for *corner lots*. They can’t even prompt right.

Lots of very rich people do very confusing things despite having more money than I will ever see in my life. They buy ugly art, weird clothes, or design very terrible custom homes. They get extreme plastic surgery or have way too many kids. I have lost count of Nick Cannon's total offspring.

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

I emailed my councillor Brad Bradford, urging him to reconsider speeding up encampment clearing time. That will go to vote on Nov 13th. Keep in mind he was one of only 2 councillors who voted against the current city plan regarding encampments. #toronto

Doug Ford announced proposed changes to the LTB that would strip away key tenant protections, fast-track evictions, and open the door to ending rent control as we know it in Ontario.

I am truly troubled about this.
The myth that there are "hundreds of thousands" of vacant units wasn't true when local NIMBYs said it in 2024 and it's not true when the Attorney General of Ontario says it today. Tenants shouldn't have their rights weakened because of the Ford government's failure to build.

There's a lot to be said about Ford's proposal to allow no fault evictions, effectively ending rent control, but I just keep thinking about how I know *lawyers* who can only afford to live in Toronto because of the current RTA law. I don't know what kind of city we would become.
