There are a blond cat and a tuxedo cat living across the street in the neighborhood we just moved into. I’m calling the blond cat Sandy. The tuxedo, which could just as well be wearing a leather jacket and white t-shirt, is Danny.

I’ll try to get pics. Then I’ll tell you about it. Stud.
I am SO addicted to that game!!!
Almost five years moving out of a south-adjacent state, and I’ve FINALLY gotten used to the fact that I don’t have to order my iced tea “unsweet.”
I’m marinating some chicken for dinner. Almost like I’m an adult who has my shit together.
It’s not Instagram perfect, but it’s mine. I don’t feel like cleaning rose petals out of my drain, anyway.
Am I playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure while wearing Kuromi socks?

Yes. Yes, I am.
Re-seasoning my favorite cast iron pan. It needed to be done, but I always forget how nasty it makes the house smell.
When I color my hair, I have to wrap up the entire bathroom like I’m Dexter. It doesn’t matter how careful I am, dye gets flung. Anyone else? Just me?
I wanted to add some color to my kitchen, and display the doilies I like to collect and never do anything with. Done! Big thank you to my husband, @canyonr.com, for hanging shit for my short and very uncoordinated self. #vintagesky #kitchensky
Today’s favorite thrift find! No markings. As far as I can tell, it’s probably Italian, maybe 50s-60s. I love it!
This may not look like much, but it’s an absolute treasure to me. It’s the Modern Family Cookbook by Meta Given, 1943. It belonged to my husband’s great grandmother, and survived a fire that destroyed the home he and his parents lived in when he was about 6. Yes, those are scorch marks. #cookingsky
We put shelving up by the ceiling in my craft room for our cats. When Leota noticed it, we immediately told her she wasn’t allowed on it, and it’s not for a baby. So of course, she immediately checked it out.
Desk kitty tells me it’s FAR more important that I pet her than be productive. #catsky
Look what just came in the mail! This is the complete 1971 Betty Crocker Recipe Card Library (with some fun inclusions tucked in!). I used to look through my mother’s set at least once a week, when I was a kid. I’m so excited to have my own! #vintagesky #recipesky #cookbooksky #foodsky
Tonight’s dinner: Jane’s Saucy Meatballs, from the Saturday Evening Post Family Cookbook, 1975. I served it over rice, with some green beans, rather than as an appetizer. It was very good, the sauce really compliments the meatballs. If you make it, butter the rice well. #vintagesky #cookingsky
Baking my first ever loaf of Irish soda bread, and the house smells phenomenal. The buttermilk really comes through! #cookingsky #bakingsky #foodsky
Smokey-Girl doesn’t think my copy of The New Good Housekeeping Cookbook smells enough like her ass.
Excellent. I hope you freeze rent hikes, too.
Thinking about doing the extra bedroom in mid-century modern. #vintagesky
Yup. The piece of shit wants to have his side piece without any accountability when it comes out.
I couldn’t be happier about this thrifting find! It’s an enameled fondue set by Asta, a German cookware company that closed in the 80s. Isn’t she gorgeous?! 😍 #foodsky #vintagesky #thriftingsky
Thanks! I’ll look for it.
I like to do that with cabbage rolls.
