No it’s important to listen to this. Because then you understand that many of them will do ANYTHING to keep power. Remember Musk got involved in the 2024 election after saying to Tucker “if she wins” I am definitely going to prison.

So we need to move knowing that nothing is off the table for them.
Steve Bannon: If we lose the midterms and we lose 2028, some in this room are going to prison, myself included.

lol people who reduce ENTIRE disciplines to the people they don't like/agree with annoy me a lot. For example, lots of people will define economics by the problematic men in the field when the field is quite expansive.

Takes like these are just super lazy and quite unproductive.

Do you know how cool that is for literacy, for book joy?! We are all worthy of reading, we are all readers 💚

And NOW episode three is out! Take a look, it’s in a book 📚🌈🦋

🔫 Not all gun laws work the same way

A new study finds stronger state gun laws in the US are linked to lower firearm deaths, especially suicides

But to reduce homicides, laws must be paired with policies tackling poverty, racism, and inequality

I was stuck in the familiar story of barely making a dent in my student loans under the federal program. I wasn’t likely to get student loan relief, so I decided to refinance. I went with Earnest and now I’m months away from freedom. Read my thread to learn why I love them…🧵

They launched a coup, suffered no consequences for it, won back power, and have used the power to pardon everyone involved while remaking the country through violence and intimidation. It’s just ridiculous to talk about the political violence of yelling at ICE agents within that context.

Library database corporations ( EBSCO, ProQuest etc.) are facilitating censorship especially related to
health and race - secretly.
Libraries and librarians are an essential bulwark against state censorship, but the privatization of these library services threatens everyone
Data providers like EBSCO, ProQuest, Sage + Cengage are “implementing “local controls” on databases, particularly related to health + race. ‘Under even the smallest of threats, the co’s have provided the tools or have secretly put on the tools… that apply the content blocking on these systems”
