I'm asking this as a serious question. *WITH INSURANCE* would an American have to pay for this?

1 overnight stay + 1 visit to ER
1 CT Scan + 1 xray at ER
2 blood panels
2 urinalysis

Meds (by bag): ketorolac (4), saline (4), ondansetron (4) hydromorphone (3), fentanyl (1/2 bag) metoclopramide (1)
On the plus side, if you were in America you’d be looking at a 5 digit hospital bill at the best case.

Normal people: I’ve got the house to myself for two days—time to relax, maybe have some friends over.

Me: it’s like two squirrels screaming at each other in my head, saying we’re gonna get all the things done!

We’ll keep saying it: Public schools are not Sunday schools.

ADHD hell: a jury duty summons.

I don’t need a set in stone schedule but I need at least a vague idea of how my days are going to play out. Anyone who has asked for anything next week has gotten a noncommittal “I might have jury duty.” I hate this nebulous shit! 🧵

Publication date is 2027! That’s on me.
Delighted to be working with Simon Spanton for this one.

As ever, thanks to @beckylejeune.bsky.social for her support.

And Angry Robot, thankyou for taking a punt on this weird idea!

Now I have to write the damn thing 😌😉

Pls note: not sure the publication year on the announcement is right.
