Just to be clear, this is a violation of the fundamental ethical principle in clinical trial design called "equipoise."
Equipoise means that no-one is exposed to excess risk just to test the therapy. That's specifically *why* vaccine trials don't use placebo arms.

Someone create an app that you input your zip code and symptoms. It maps out where in the world you could get seen by a doc without prior authorizations, etc. It includes cost of service and current price of hotels and flights. Then compares that to what you'd pay to get the same help in the US.
