Yeah, Well, That's What I Think.

Here until I'm not. The Internet in general, and social media in particular, is now an emotional tar pit, owned and curated by a handful of soulless, obscenely wealthy ghouls. Music, art and trivia, when I'm not overwhelmed by existential grief.

Following some people who are following more people than are following them, who’ve liked or reposted something I’ve said. Call it my small boost. If they follow back, great, if not I’ll move along in a few days.
My Spotify Unwrapped list is empty because I know what they pay Joe Rogan to host his podcast and what they don’t pay the musicians who keep Spotify’s digital doors open.

The office of President of the United States is supposed to be difficult and challenging for the holder of the office, not everybody who has to watch him try to do it.

Reminder that Houston has been without representation in the House since March, because Governor Hot Wheels wants it occupied by a Democrat for the minimum time possible before the state gerrymander (which may or may not still take effect) kicks in next year. www.texastribune.org/2025/11/17/t...

You can tell he’s the boss because he knows less about it than anyone else in the room.
RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

Not to be a wet blanket, but that would require the votes of those people surrounding him and kissing his posterior at that very moment.

Soon to be followed by every other African country without natural resources that the greedy old man would like to acquire. Also, white South Africans are still welcome, just because.

Elon and his buddies (not really - they'd stab each other in the back in unison if they thought they could make the other guy miss) haven't considered what's going to happen to their precious data centers after they've put a few million hungry people out of their homes. futurism.com/artificial-i...

Have I got a deal for you. (This actually showed up in my FB feed this morning.) At least it’s not cheap counterfeit stamps from China for a change.

I'm sure there's an awful lot of people who think those Facebook and Tik Tok reels of wild animals suddenly attacking people in their homes are real, and I wonder what it's going to take to convince them otherwise, before they shoot a delivery driver out of pure terror.

You'll know the tech bros are ready to cut Trump loose when his cabinet loyalists start speaking up. That's when the money will have changed hands to invoke the 25th.

$2000 won’t buy you healthcare in the US.

$2000 won’t give you “negotiating power” with insurance companies.

A one time payment is not a healthcare plan.

It’s time for Medicare for all.

So, what if Trump came into this presidency already knowing, told by many of the same billionaires who sat on the dais at his inauguration, that an AI- and automation-driven purge of the American work force was imminent, and his fixation on tariffs and deporting manual laborers…

Only a deeply cynical person would suggest that the money that eight Republican senators stand to collect from that bill might change hands again, in whole or in part. Who would think such a thing?

The people who buy into Trump’s blather about everything being cheaper are the same ones who think it’s a win when he makes a spectacle of donating his $7700-a-week salary, and then spends $3.4 million on that weekend’s golf outing (and pockets his resort’s profits from that).

You may not agree, but I think it’s time for Dems from coast to coast to run on Medicare for all.

We do NOT need health insurance companies at all.

Period.

They serve no valuable societal purpose other than to add cost to healthcare and drive people crazy.

Watching a 2023 episode of The Morning Show and Reese Witherspoon’s interviewing a J6 rioter who thought his life was ruined and right now that guy would be running around Chicago in a gaiter and riot gear, free as a bird and feeling absolutely invincible.
