And speaking for my profession, if you’re a publisher or #library vendor, think twice before you try to sell us a book calling it “Gulf of America,” because we will send that shit back for misinformation and raise hell
Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:
-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.
-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

I can't even! My proposal for a session at my states annual school library conference was accepted. I am going to be a presenter! If I can get it done, I may even submit to the AASL conference to see what happens.

Finally sitting down to read That Librarian by Amanda Jones and one day I hope to run into her again as I have so many follow up questions. That is one brave librarian and a model for us all when it comes to standing up.
