Seriously, the LightKeeper Pro is some voodoo magic. I found 18 burned out bulbs on my pre lit tree and fixed all the strands in ~30 minutes. 10/10 definitely recommend 😇 🎄

File this under “when will we ever use math in real life”
Pie recipe calls for 1 cup of coconut milk, but I, not thinking, added a full 13.5 fl oz can of milk. If the recipe calls for 15 oz of pumpkin puree, how much more puree (and spices, etc.) do I need to add?? 🤦‍♂️

So if one doesn’t have a Stern pinball machine with insider connected at their personal disposal, I suppose the consecutive days of pinball played achievement is at risk on holidays 🤷‍♂️

Surely today is the last 60° day of 2025 in Boston. So I went out for a bike ride 😎

I remember seeing a story years ago where a prison cook was caught having stolen $1.2 million of fajitas over 9 years.

One week he took off sick, someone else answered the order call and was like "what are you talking about? We don't serve fajitas."

Bagged granola is “expensive” ($0.30 to $1.00 per oz), and it almost always has too much sugar for my preference, so I’ve decided to make my own.

We’ll see how it goes…

How do you get “good” at pinball?
By playing a lot of pinball. Not by watching a lot of pinball videos.

Using AI/LLM is like removing the outlanes from the playfield. Yes, you score tons of points, but that’s because the actual skill (risk of drains) is negated. You don’t learn how to play better
If you want to build skills and be competent at the thing, you must do the thing.

For knowledge, this means writing. Reading summaries written by a sycophant gives you an idiot’s confidence and little else.

Which makes the whole ‘CEO uses AI’ thing doubly sweet.

Pichai said apart from running a company, advances in AI could also help people evaluate medical treatment or decide whether to invest in a stock.

Installed code v0.87 on Star Wars: Fall of the Empire. Played and completed the Sarlacc Escape mode for 320 million. It’s a 5(?) ball multiball mode with a pretty generous ball save timer. Fun reward for playing all 3 Jabba modes.

Nice, Guideline raised their account fees by 87.5% six months ago.

Now I remember receiving their email about the fee increase back in March.

For those interested in Star Wars: Fall of the Empire pinball, it was my first game successfully starting all 8 character missions (but completed only 5), and … nothing happens in the code. I guess you have to *complete* all 8 for the wizard mode.
Which is hard to do. 😣

There’s no such thing as bad cycling weather, only bad cycling gear.

In honor of my first <30ºF bike commute of the season, let's talk about how to stay warm in the 20s, 10s, and even 0s.

For years I biked for transit in Boston 9 months a year, pausing in winter – but one year I decided to just keep going. So can you!

Here are some tips 👇🏻, please share yours too!
