The paradox for the Labour Party.

Corbyn or his clones are the only people that will be deemed acceptable to lead the party without anarchy breaking out.

Corbyn and clones could never win a parliamentary majority.

Perpetual opposition or perpetual civil war beckons.

It does beg the question - why do we allow politicians of any hue to choose who runs the BBC?

Or the shit Sparks tribute act
Completely normal chaps.

Delighted to make my annual donation to @PoppyLegion - they do a fantastic and incredibly important job, which we should all support.

But I am buggered if I am going to wear a poppy because some twat - usually bald and red-faced - says I must.

Fascinating and horrifying in equal measure to see Right-wing pundits coming to the defence of Mr AMW

What price his standing for Reform? He certainly would fit in well.

It very easy to be impressed with Polanski. He is intelligent, persuasive and a breath of fresh air.

He is, however, like Corbyn, who was much less persuasive and impressive, utterly unelectable as a credible U.K. leader.

How long before Kemi and friends boot out Michael Heseltine?
October 7, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Not called Richard and Isobel by any chance?
"INSPIRE"
October 7, 2025 at 5:20 PM
@ottoenglish.bsky.social who would have that - in his peak Tarzan period - that Michael Heseltine would become the voice of reason and be rightly calling out the dangers we face from these racist populist parties.

Arresting people for a placard is fucking stupid but - unpopular view coming up - I have little sympathy for those who actively sought to get arrested

There must be much better ways of demonstrating your support.

We are fortunate to have this amazing Magnolia tree in our garden and this year it has been truly spectacular.

I derive great joy.
Musk: I mean, have you Tim Walz, who is a huge jerk, running on stage with the Tesla stock price.. What an evil thing to do. What a creep, what a jerk. Like who derives joy from that?

I won’t use the same wording as I did on the fetid channel, but since when did being a Christian mean that you have to behave like an obnoxious fascist?

We will see an increasing number of people banned entering the US and being treated abysmally

They clearly don’t want or need our dollars.

So fuck them.

Tant pis - Tesla’s shares down another 4% today - that’s a 40% fall since 1/1.

Call me a cynic but I can’t help but think that the timing of today’s horrendous attacks on Gaza were undertaken in part to deflect from Trump’s failed call.

In separate news, Netanyahu phoned Trump to get sign off for the bombings yesterday.

Thick as pig shit.

And utterly, utterly revolting.

I never thought I would write the following:

Compared to Trump, Truss looks a colossus - a lettuce-shaped one, but nevertheless a colossus

She merely fucked the economy whilst Trump appears to be doing that, and smashing up the world order and threatening invading Canada and Denmark
March 11, 2025 at 6:20 PM
So Trump is going to buy a Swasticar.

Bet he doesn’t pay for it.

Clever people. Musk will have borrowed on his Tesla shares. Anyone know how low they need to go before he is in breach of covenants?

Tesla, despite tanking this year, still has a ridiculous Price to Earnings ratio. Possibly as much as 80% overvalued.
