Pretty much how we watched movies in the old days, wasn't it? We watched things simply because that's what was on TV.

I was surprised to see Black Country New Road in the current selections. Guess it’s hard to thread the needle of “obscure stuff people will try” and “popular stuff people will actually play”

Crooked Wing, Lucinda Chua, King Geedorah, Kiran Leonard, Shaking Hand, Black Country New Road, Hayden Thorpe, Water From Your Eyes, John Glacier, and Just Mustard are the current selections

There have only been two Game Of Thrones novels published since the formation of ICE
I'm just going to point out that ICE is about 23 years old. It was formed as part of the response to 9/11 and was reactionary, performative, and racist from the start.

Its not eternal. This is not a thousand-year Reich.

There’s only around a dozen LPs on it at any one time, although it seems fairly genre agnostic.

Yeah and the music on Cantilever isn’t even exclusive! It’s purely a curation service, so something with very niche appeal.

I don’t know Cantilever’s financial situation but I *hope* they pay a good price to artists

It’s basically what Mubi used be, but for music. There’s a small curated selection of records, with one added and one removed every few days.
I’m trying out the Cantilever app. €6 per month for a tiny library of albums seems a bit steep, but it seems like one of those things that might be worth supporting.

Possible that I was disappointed in Suspiria because it wasn’t weird enough

I did watch a giallo starring Sabrina From The 80s and had a good time despite it being objectively terrible.

I was basically hoping for an extended version of her cameo in No Time To Die

Too much chatting in it. I don’t care an her dead dad, I want to see her kick people.

I haven’t seen any other Argentos, I will keep looking. What’s a good place to start?

For the record, I don’t think Suspiria is a bad film. I just didn’t click with it.

Biggest shock at the movies this week was watching Suspiria for the first time and discovering it’s not for me. I had always been confident it would very much be for me.
