Reminder to everyone that the armed guards are contractually obligated not to pull their weapons because Walmart doesn't wanna pay for the liability insurance that requires. It doesn't mean they won't, but it's good to know when they inevitability shit the bed and someone takes them to court

Walmart is talking about locking it's doors and only letting people order online for pickup so no one can enter stores in urban areas. Other stores have hired armed guards that search your bags before letting you in.
They would gladly murder you over a piece of food.

Had ffs consult today (yay me) with a trans trans surgeon and half the consult was just the doc being like "OK look I'll whatever you need but some of this is I just can't make that feature any more stereotypically feminine"

This was such a maddening characteristic to have but people wouldn't believe me so I started writing letters to myself with what i thought was going to happen, otherwise known as a poor mans copyright. So that when someone challenged me on it I could select the dated and stamped unopened envelope

I have this like, talent, for figuring out what makes someone tick within a few weeks of knowing them, like their core motivation. And while it's a side effect of hypervigilance it's also definitely one of those talents that makes life hell, because you can see when someone is about to betray you

I sent as polite of an email as I could to the professor with the my stated goal being that she does more in future to clarify these errors in the textbook so she's not unwittingly feeding the material conditions that make my and other trans women's lives hell. I'll see what she says

This is a thing that a lot of fucking people don't get. There was a huge swathe of racist pieces of shit who were for Obama. A big thing in those larger online communities was them being glad he "married within his race". Racists are shitty stupid people but they are above all, oppurtunists

Our relationship is strained now but shed go on about how sci fi wasn't popular with men because it didn't test well, so they released the episodes during the day and usually the only people home during the day were housewives. And on that screen was a world where they were seen as equals
