This is my point again that the electorate has no idea of what's actually going on. Not in some ideological way, so you can argue whether it's good or not, just in a fact way.
Recently my brother in law explained what gerrymandering was to a coworker and they didn’t believe him because if that were really happening there would be riots in the street
This week I had someone tell me they're not worried about SNAP being cut off because "that's illegal, so it's impossible Trump could do that, so obviously it's just media sensationalism." Another person told me they weren't worried about ICE because "they can't detain you if you're legally here."
Billionaires ruin everything.

it is BONKERS how much people will stan for billionaires who do nothing instead of their employees who do all the work
It's really telling how many people are pushing back on this, buying into owners crying poor. The D-Rays just sold for $1.7 billion. They had an $88 million payroll this year. Many teams are owned by billionaires or consortiums that can raise that kind of money (and there are revenue streams).
I appreciate @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social announcing his mile pace is 12:54 on marathon day to get out the #strugglerunner vote
My spouse is already fully asleep and snoring. It’s a super power.

I will be up for hours. I am not a fan of either team.

Will Smith has a reading foundation and visits public schools. Just so you know the guy who hit that game winning homer has done good things for the LAUSD
Daughter comes out of school with a brand new Dodgers hat and I ask her where she got it.

"Oh this guy Will Smith from the Dodgers read us a story at school today"
Listen, I wanted the Blue Jays to win cause of Mattingly, BUT any time I get to post this is really a win.

Like if he’s not the MVP what is the point
Yoshinobu Yamamoto won Games 2, 6 and 7 of the World Series. He threw a complete game in Game 2, six innings and 96 pitches on Friday and came back Saturday to throw 2.2 scoreless innings on 34 pitches and induce the World Series-winning double play. A legendary performance.

Yamamoto has to win MVP, not even remotely in question

This is probably one of the best baseball games I've ever watched and I hate the outcome
I am delighted by how many people have posted this exact sentiment.
The demo of Bluesky is clearly my exact age based on how many Getting Jiggy Wit It jokes I have just seen in my timeline.

I love you all.
I’m so tired you guys.

EXTRA INNINGS

THIS GAME IS GOING TO KILL ME AND I DON’T EVEN ROOT FOR EITHER TEAM
Everybody made fun of Miguel Rojas’ fancy mom necklace and earrings, but they’re not laughing now, are they?

Yes, we still are, but he’s really killing it right now.

I have no rooting interest in this game other than my affection for Mattingly, and I’m FREAKING out.
Dammit, I thought that was it.
I’m extremely tired, Vlad. Please hit a home run off of the Tom Green impersonator.
