Hi all, I'm Sam. Mostly present on Instagram but found the 'other' site useful until. Well, enough about that.

I live in England with my husband and cat. I love books, travel, photography, music and cooking/baking.

I've been saying for ages that the Torode/Wallace pairing is dated and a parody of what the show used to be about. Time for some fresh hosting rather than cancelling altogether, though?

Dubai’s biggest mall has a massive bookshop: Books Kinokuniya. There is a map and an information desk to help you find your way around. The quality and range of books and gifts is astounding. The displays are impressive. #kinokuniya #booksky #diaryofaruralbookseller

My Alice collection, with a new book by Anna James, Alice with a Why, taking centre stage. It's a great read, and very in line with Carroll's writing and style. I loved it!

Another fabulous book from Paige Toon. I love that they meet on the very first page of the book, and the whole story is them. It's an emotional, exhilarating rollercoaster from start to finish and I loved it.

Thanks to Penguin for the ARC in exchange for my review.

Book 3 in the Scott Jericho series really packs a punch!
A perfect crime thriller and as gripping as the first two, with a cliff-hanger ending so shocking I had to message the author and tell him I was going to hunt him down! 😀Thanks to @zaffrebooks.bsky.social for my copy #booksky

This book certainly packs a punch. It is a multi-narrative, told from several people's perspectives. It is a book about grief, as four people meet in therapy to process the loss of a loved one. Bring tissues!

First-Time Caller is a practically perfect romantic story. It is laugh out loud funny, heartwarming and I loved every page. It's crying out for a film adaptation with someone sexy and gorgeous like Riley Keogh playing Lucie. Loved, loved, loved this book!

I just came across a post on Linkedin that horrified me. Basically ,someone was talking about an old work boss who was a bully killing themselves and implied they were happy about it. Is Linkedin really the place to do this?
