Over the last months, I read the Aeneid and, unrelatedly, played through #TheLastOfUsPart2. Turns out their narratives are structurally similar, asking their characters (and the reader/player):

How can meaning endure the violence of the meaningless?

Made time to finish Pot-Bouille. Another experiment in narrative structure, this time about what can be a protagonist: a building, turned inside out and brought to "fall flat", uncompromising in its depiction of the bourgeois morality/cosmology. Every lurch of emotion turned cold.

Hands and handshaking are recurrent symbols in Metaphor's overarching theme of enabling (collective) praxis & accomplishing meaning, and I LOVE IT

Doctor's appointment of the year:

"Pretty sure you have x, unless it's something FUNKY RARE"

Then

"I don't CARE that you're celiac"

Finally

"We don't usually do the test so early..."

Sacrificed my weekend on the altar of Python. Unpopular opinion: I don't like it.

- you see a variable; is it an int, a float, a string? Who knows!
- there are no arrays, only "lists"
- no standard for loop (I have to make a function for custom steps??)
- forced into indentation
