kinda funny with this dumbass piece of shit. he circles his way around to saying maybe Trump should retaliate by withdrawing ICE from Minneapolis and letting the population rise up against Walz and Frey and having them demand that ICE come back. moron.

Senate Dems needn’t come to agreement on everything right now. That’s a path to the lowest common denominator. They simply have to agree to filibuster DHS approps. As to which of a host of anti-brutality and anti-authoritarian proposals to advance, let a thousand flowers bloom.

Blanche and Vance have complained post-shooting that local law enforcement in Minnesota isn't helping ICE/CBP do their work. If that's accurate, it's called federalism, and it's an entirely lawful way for Minnesotans, through their government, to resist oppressive federal action.
WELKER: It appears Pretti was shot 10 times. He was pummeled & sprayed with gas. Why shouldn't every American be bothered by what they see?

BLANCHE: Every American should be bothered. But they should be bothered that ICE is going to arrest a criminal & they have 0 support from law enforcement

Journalists need to ask, “What made Pettri a ‘suspect’?” He was ‘seized’ under the meaning of the Fourth Amendment, which requires *probable cause that he was committing a crime*

BASH: Where did he assault an officer? It looked to us that he was approached by them when he was helping another individual who was pushed down

BOVINO: We don't need a suspect's help in a law enforcement scene

BASH: So when somebody is pushed down, you stand back?

BOVINO: Follow directions

Also they should ask exactly what "targeted operation" was (supposedly) going on. Who were they trying to detain, where was that person at the moment Pretti was killed, what was the role of these agents in that operation and how did Pretti "impede" it by filming them?

Correct. They are hanging their hat (or trying to) on 18 U.S.C. 111 as justification for detaining and arresting people. Apart from requiring force, the statute states that the federal officer is engaged in official duties. So what was the official function that is supposedly being impeded?

The DHS defense of Pretti's killing focuses on the existence of the gun. But look at everything that happened before the agents discovered the gun.
DHS agents escalated: macing and mercilessly beat Pretti as he tried to protect two people being assaulted. None of that was remotely acceptable.
