SEATTLE: If you know someone who lives in Seattle and guess they probably voted for Katie Wilson for Mayor, your contribution to this fight is to text them this information about making sure they voted with their signature on the envelope! TEXT them NOW.
There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

Go. Check. Your. Ballot.

There — I fixed the analysis so it is actually accurate to what happened when 8 Senate Dems caved instead of keeping up the righteous fight to deliver lower health care costs for Americans.

Every time I see a Mom, especially with small children and especially when they are with a male partner, I am so damn thankful that will never be me.

Oh student proselytizer, please leave us at the bus stop alone. “Do y’all believe in God or have like a religion?” Go away.

Brandi was on SNL last night. I know I’ve loved her forever, but those performances felt worthy of some “top SNL performances” lists. ❤️🎸🔥

Mostly made it through a run of the show (and if you count what we ran prior to the run, then we got all but like three pages that have zero cues done). Only cried a little before we started. Now hiding in a balcony during lunch.

Just over ten hours between rehearsals is not enough time for me to stop being salty at the director about rehearsal last night.

It should be illegal for a stage manager’s period to start during tech week.

Being on a college campus leading up to Halloween reminds me how silly it was to be 19 and 20.

Am I bad at my job or do I not actually like what I do or is it this show/educational theatre programs?

In just 24 hours, we have stocked a very respectable community free pantry and stacked our pay-it-forward fund with over $300 in donations to cover free tea & snacks for neighbors in need!

Please come make use of these resources & we’ll keep refilling the shelves for you!
Every drop helps fill the bucket, right? Let’s do this, #Seattle! 🥫🫶

If this director wants us to move faster in tech, I need her to listen to me.
October 30, 2025 at 4:23 AM
In case you were wondering how tech is going, my primary ASM just dropped out of the show, we’re cancelling the first preview (which is oddly always before invited dress here), and today I cried after tech because I don’t know how to work with/teach student ASMs.

Seattle: Our tea house will begin accepting donations on 10/29. We will make weekly dropoffs with Northwest Harvest, but if you are in our area and in need, you are welcome to take directly from the donations bin for yourself as well. We won’t be policing your need.

Why do tech tables *always* suck to sit at?

@jayapal.house.gov @mayorofseattle.bsky.social would love for someone to find out why Kroger now cares about overnight parking in the former Lake City Fred Meyer lot. We have a shortage of parking in the neighborhood and Kroger is paying someone to put notices on cars in the otherwise useless lot?

I’m glad calling shows is where I excel as a stage manager because today we got through 10 pages of what I think is a 80+ page shop (devised works are weird) and I’ve been the least stressed I’ve been this whole process.
October 25, 2025 at 9:08 AM
I’m having a really hard time w/ knowing if my stress about this show is legit or if the imposter syndrome is accurate and I’m actually just not good at being a stage manager.
It seems like every show lately has been HARD.
Glad I’m spending the holidays on a show for kids that I’ve worked before.

The thing about stage managing is, I can’t do my job if other people don’t do theirs, but also stage managers have to make everything happen, even if other people haven’t done their job.

Stage managers deserve mental health days and unfortunately that can never be a thing.
