Just finished My Neighbor Totoro. Very good, but probably my least favorite Miyazaki movie so far. It's the only one that's just felt straightforwardly like a kid's movie. I would die for Totoro tho.

Kaguya-Sama: Love is War has a generationally great dub, both in terms of it's localization choices and vocal performances. Brina Palencia in Spice and Wolf is fantastic. I absolutely do not think I would have enjoyed the show as much without her performance as Holo

Amazon has rolled out AI dubbed anime and I’m truly appalled. Like it or loathe it, the medium has a rich, incredible history of English performances. There’s already a million reasons to hate Amazon, but fuck me.

I've watched enough of them now that I feel like I can rank some. I changed the first three tiers cuz I had spirited away at B and that didn't feel right lol. Still needed F tier for Earthsea cuz that movie was ass

Just watched "From up on Poppy Hill." Absolutely immaculate vibes from this film. Love the music, aesthetic and characters a ton. Had some kind of contrived plot points, but I really really enjoyed it. Probably had the most "oops I'm crying now I guess" moments of any of the Ghibli movies. 10/10

Past couple of years I really was thinking that I don't really care that much about prose but I think it's actually more that the prose I like is chuuni anime shit and stuff that a character in ROTK would say before they die
