There are so many pitches on my feed that sound intriguing but are missing CONFLICT and STAKES. I definitely recommend thinking about "what does your characters want?" and "what happens if they don't get it?" when setting up a one or two sentence pitch

Last year at this time, I was revising a completely different manuscript, feeling miles away from actually finishing something worth querying. I keep having to remind myself-- I came SO far last year! Let's see what this one holds!
