Just came home to a letter from Canada Life that they won't cover *any* of this >35k surgery since it's being done outside of Canada (it would cost 90-120k if I did it in Canada, mind) so bumping this back up since my surgery date may be as soon as in a couple months
This is one of the hardest things I've ever done: asking for help.
After a financially devastating divorce, I am asking for help getting FFS, a gender-affirming surgery for which I am having to pay a vast majority out of pocket.

My advice, as a former call center supervisor, is to fish for ways to escalate your call to a supervisor. Upper management HATES when the supe call cue is long. We used to be in perpetual callback hell back where I worked and they constantly devoted extra resources to combating it.

Use sketches. Use lorem ipsum. Use bright pink materials. Use programmer art for fucks sake, literally anything else.
