I don't watch much soccer but I do love the island of Curacao and it surprising how tense a 0-0 game can be when a berth in the World Cup is on the line! Congrats to the Blue Wave for becoming the lowest population country ever to qualify for the World Cup ever!

In case anyone is wondering if Covid is circulating in Waterloo I can confirm it is as my Father-in-law contracted it at the Engineering Reunion at U(W) last weekend. He has infected my Mother-in-law as well. They are 86 and 84 and he has two types of cancer. Society could have done so much better.

My fave George Wendt memory was seeing him at the local theatre company playing Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman. Why the fuck was he in Waterloo doing a play to a couple hundred people a night? Because he could.

This election shit is driving me nuts. However, today I took Jules with me to pick up some wood to build frame to keep squirrels out of our gardens and we ended up getting a Seckel Pear tree instead and planted it this afternoon. Jules loves the sugar pears and that made the trip all worthwhile.

The Advance polls were over 40% of the vote of the 2021 election. Until we have any idea how and when they are being counted we'll have no idea how this election has gone. I love voting early but I hate that we don't know when that vote is counted.

Torn between a wanting a Lib minority, with the NDP still holding the balance of power, and a Lib majority which will result in the joy of seeing PP getting gutted by his own party. Either way I hope Mike Morrice holds his Green seat in Kitchener.
