Rand is a weird case. I wouldn’t get my views there, but if you do read what she wrote you can’t help but notice how the current US right is opposed to her. Halting and complaining about immigration, to Rand, is loser behaviour. It’s an attempt to limit who you’re competing against.
I understand people are like "reading this stuff Rand is sneering at the poor" but like, if you do just *one* little rotation in your head, you realize that the lazy slobs trying to drag everyone down would be on *wingnut* welfare today

Always felt she was integral to The Godfather series - can’t imagine any other actress as beating heart. Also highly recommend Looking for Mr. Goodbar: there’s everything wrong with the film (including homophobic tropes) but she single-handedly makes it good.
