Trump take Pasta
Trump trade war costs US Italian pasta: “Exporters say import and antidumping duties totaling 107% on their pasta brands will make doing business in America too costly and are preparing to pull out of U.S. stores as soon as January.” Via WSJ

Angus King - another Senator with no spine. "Sen. Angus King: "Standing up to Donald Trump didn't work"
Less then a week after a Blue wave, with Trump’s approval tanking, and the Epstein bomb ticking, this is King’s take. Clueless. 🤦🏻♂️

This is an absolutely insane administrative process. Within the space of a week, states were told by judges/White House
*no SNAP benefits
*half benefits
*full benefits
*pause provision of benefits.
Result is chaos, uncertainty, and uneven access to benefits depending on where people live.

NEW: The Trump admin told states it must immediately "undo" the work to provide full food stamp benefits, or face penalties. The feds sent this in a late-night memo, only adding to the chaos and confusion around SNAP. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/09/b...

There are people with medically necessary food restrictions, autistic children with ARFID, & those with food allergies who rely on SNAP to access safe foods to not starve.
Trump choosing to defy a court order to fund SNAP is an intentional decision to starve Americans.

While you're stuck in endless security lines, with delayed and canceled flights, the super-rich get to keep flying unencumbered (and spew way more than their fair share of carbon emissions, too). At least some privileged folks realize how uncool this is...
Private planes make up nearly 12% of all flights.
And yet even with major air traffic control safety concerns, the DOT is planning to exclude them from its plan to order 10% cut in flights at 40 major U.S. airports.
People who can afford to charter flights will be fine. Everyone else is screwed.

As long as Republicans refuse to allow these facilities to be inspected without notice it’s safe to assume the stories that they are engaged in systemic rape and torture are true. The stories of beatings and the fact they can’t tell us who is in prison or where they went makes it likely they murder

What about the part during the campaign where Trump promised that prices were going to start coming down on Day One of his presidency? What happened to that? bsky.app/profile/atru...
Q: Food prices are still going up. Grocery prices are still going up. How do you respond?
MIKE JOHNSON: All of the economist have shown that food prices always go up. There's an inflationary level that's built in to grocery prices.
