Republicans hate me because I fight hard and I refuse to be held back by norms and rules that the GOP ignore. If Republicans try to gerrymander another 5 seats in Texas, Democrats should gerrymander 30 more seats in states they control.

Do you know why this matters? Because the right to suspend habeas corpus is in ARTICLE I, the part of the Constitution which provides powers to CONGRESS.
That Lincoln suspended habeas corpus (and retroactively got Congress to agree) doesn't mean it's an inherent presidential power.
