On March 6th, 1937, the late, great Ben Keith was born.

Best known as pedal steel guitarist on numerous Neil Young projects spanning nearly 40 years, Ben's first claim to fame was playing pedal steel on Patsy Cline's hit "I Fall to Pieces" in 1961.

I love this album, and this song is so wistful, and the melencholy is so palpable. One of the best from his 'ditch trilogy', consisting of the albums Time Fades Away, On the Beach and Tonight's the Night.
