Moreover, it’s not clear how these deals will impact the state cases. These offers come over four months into an unimaginable ordeal of detention by these defendants. They are being told by the state that these deals are their only option to avoid potential life in prison. The defendants are psychologically worn down and are now having false deadlines forced upon them by a DOJ only interested in an easy win that can be used to validate their ridiculous fantasies of “Antifa terrorists.” The majority of defendants have rejected these offers and will continue to fight their charges and to come home to their families and community. Unfortunately a number of defendants may ultimately decide to accept these offers. We have immense sympathy for the difficulty our loved ones are facing. We do not believe accepting these deals will be a confirmation of the state’s narrative, instead it will only be confirmation of the unjust and barbaric actions by the state that we have seen throughout this case. DHS claimed that on September 26, a DHS officer claimed that they were forced to deploy riot munitions because protestors were "becoming increasingly hostile."

In fact, "the [Body Worn Camera] video shows that the protesters were simply standing there when agents first deployed any force."
On September 26, 2025, video from an agent’s BWC shows a line of agents standing at least thirty feet away from protesters outside the Broadview facility on Harvard Street. Axon Body 4 Video 2025-09-26 1137 D01A3411W at 2:00; see also Doc. 172-11 at 8 (“[T]he crowd [ ] was approximately 30-40 feet away.”). Despite this distance, the agents start yelling “move back, move back” to the protesters and then shoot pepper balls and tear gas at them without any apparent justification. Flyer with picture of Hridindu and this text: Hridindu Roychowdhury is an anarchist from Madison, Wisconcin who was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison for attacking a building with a Molotov cocktail in the wake of the leak of the draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, overruling Roe v. Wade. He targeted the building because it was occupied by an anti-choice organization (Wisconsin Family Action). Hridindu acknowledged spray-painting the message "If abortions aren't safe then you aren't either" on the outside of the building. No one was in the office at the time. He plead guilty on Dec. 1, 2023 and was ordered to pay nearly $32,000 in restitution, then was sent to FCI Marion to begin serving out the 7.5 year sentence. Flyer: "If abortions aren't safe, then you aren't either" and then the following text: In May 2025, Hridindu was sent back to Wisconsin to face a grand jury. He refused to snitch or cooperate and was then held in federal civil contempt at the same county jail he was held during the pretrial phase. For the next three months he stood firm and made it clear he wouldnt waver. It was at that point the judge ordered him to be released from contempt after a Grumbles motion was submitted, and he was then sent back to the federal prison. However, the time he spent back in Wisconsin in contempt will not count towards his sentence. Originally from the U.S. Southwest, Hridindu is a diligent academic and enjoyer of word puzzles. Earlier in federal detention, he had been keeping himself busy by taking courses in advanced mathematics, tutoring prisoners for their GED tests, and doing a dog training program. Letters mean so much to a political prisoner. Let's make sure Hridindu knows just how much support he has. And always keep in mind when writing to any political prisoner that all mail is monitored. Crackdown in Indonesia, anarchists appeal for solidarity October 27, 2025 From Freedom News (UK) (source) Anarchists in Indonesia are calling for international support for comrades imprisoned and tortured following the August uprisings. In the wake of mass protests against corruption and inequality, around 900 people are being detained and named as suspects, many of them anarchists or sympathisers, spread across various cities. The latest solidarity call named over 40 anarchists arrested in West Java, accused of being part of the so-called "Chaos Star” network, which the government describes as a "foreign- backed anarchist group”. According to an activist source, the arrests were triggered by social media posts showing actions such as Molotov cocktail attacks. The detainees face charges ranging from property destruction to online incitement. While many are still awaiting trial, some of the accused face up to 20 years in prison. The imprisoned comrades have been isolated, and their access to legal representation has been severely restricted. Many are young, and their families report widespread torture and abuse, with some forced to give false confessions. Among those accused of "leading" the network and the recent anarchist uprisings are Bima Satria Putra, an anarchist jailed since 2021 on cannabis charges. Recently transferred to solitary confinement at Lapas Merah Mata, his family and lawyers have been blocked from seeing him. Another is Reyhard Rumbayan, known as Eat, who was arrested in Makassar on 23 September 2025 and is currently held in solitary confinement and denied contact with others. The unrest began in August 2025, when widespread anger against former military leader Prabowo Subianto's regime sparked protests that quickly turned violent, and later spread to Nepal and the Philippines as well as Morocco, Madagascar and Peru. The Indonesian government has since responded with mass arrests, media manipulation, and brutal policing. The crackdown is seen as part of a broader government effort to suppress anarchist movements, echoing past anti-communist purges. International solidarity is crucial, as anarchists call on supporters to send letters and postcards to the imprisoned comrades.
