I am in the Netherlands this week. Here is a small #watercolor bus station. I forgot to bring a pencil so I am painting without sketching first this week. It is hard!
One more flower... I feel flowery tonight. #watercolor
That's so great to hear - i have to say, it felt very freeing and invigorating to do.
I have had zero time for #watercolor lately, but I can at least do quick painting with no sketching first. A little wonky, but i like it.
Felt like fall this morning in baltimore. Had to do a quick #watercolor squash.
It has been one of those weeks? months? where finding the time to paint is daunting. But here's a small sketchbook cottage I did today. #watercolor
I love how they look side by side. Like a fall to winter color change.
I added a little more shading and slightly deeper colors to the porcelain berry #watercolor i did yesterday. I think it made a big difference.
Lovely start! These look about like mine when I started painting 8 months ago. I have come a long way thanks to short, daily tutorials, including lots from Van Leuven. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Took a picture before I added my little white highlights back with my paint pen.
Saw these beautiful, multicolored berries on a new vine in my yard. Apparently they are called porcelain berries, and the vine is invasive. Guess I have yard work to do. In the meantime, they made a great #watercolor subject.
Another louise de massi tutorial. I really like the way she did the background for this duck. I think I'll do some more birds in a similar style. #watercolor
This was my first time painting on Meeden paper and I really liked it.

Painted an ear of corn from a louise de massi tutorial. I dont usually have the patience for realism-adjacent painting but I found this pretty relaxing and fun.
Updated with pt 2 of the tutorial - background.
A quick #watercolor house from a nitin singh tutorial.
A #watercolor beach scene from my default work screensaver. Might as well paint what I stare at all day.
Oh - I definitely don't plan to eat them! Just had fun painting them, then chucked them outside.
Found these little berries on a walk. Not sure what they are. #watercolor
Just a little forest #watercolor as fall finds its way here.
So long summer garden. Pickled peppers and cucumber #watercolor
The school year has begun and after a busy two weeks of last minute summer activities and school prep for my son, I finally have a little time to paint again. This is from the cookbook Mexico the Beautiful.
Have been too busy to paint lately, so did a very quick pickle jar tutorial from nitin singh. Not my best - but it made me happy since my husband has been in full pickling mode to use our end of summer peppers. #watercolor on the left, pickled peppers on the right.
Not sure if im totally b done with this one. I may add some more detail and shading on the flowers. Can't decide.
