very weird to hear a cover of a band I loved so much in my youth, with the intensity of a teen girl where it felt as though the music ran through my veins #XPNCountdown

No shade at all but I didn’t know people were thinking of covers of musicals like that (Hair IS fun though) #XPNCountdown

Stats I want to see for the #XPNCountdown: when the original song was released, when the cover was released, and most of all, tracking how many versions of the song being covered! We've already had a couple versions of some tracks

Sorry but the original song is TOO amazing #XPNCountdown

what will be the most covered SONG?
who will be the most covered ARTIST?
which artist will have the MOST covers?
will there be back-to-back covers of the same song?
or back-to-back covers by the same artist?
or back-to-back covers of the original artist?

COVERS!

Big day tomorrow! We're ready to rock the #XPNcountdown starting w/ @kristenkurtis.bsky.social at 8am sharp w/ song #885. We will be primarily using Bluesky to chat about the countdown; not much on Threads. And we'll be on FB and IG as well. Have fun. Be nice. Enjoy the ride.

still waiting for this bill to be signed - if you are a New Yorker, go ahead and click the link below to send a note to the Governor asking her to sign the Freedom To Read Act into law

I am sorry about the paywall but my op-ed on why the Governor needs to sign the Freedom to Read Act (it protects school library collections) was published in the Buffalo News this morning buffalonews.com/opinion/arti...

It would be one thing if the administration was sharing updates and news as needed, as previous administrations did. But memes and troll posts deliberately meant to provoke reactions are not “communicating with the American public.”

VERY interested to realize that former Erie County Comptroller, one time candidate for Congressional District 27, and general pain in the ass, Stefan Mychajliw, is the News Director for the paper that published this. On behalf of WNY I’m so sorry
Wow I didn’t realize Santos published an open letter to Trump in some long island right wing rag just this past Monday.

“Supporting you wasn’t just a political decision—it was personal. It was rooted in my conviction that you were the only leader who truly put this nation, and her people, first.”

if you live in NYS and you want to “celebrate” banned books week, then a good place to start is by contacting the Governor to ask her to sign the Freedom to Read Act into law.

you know how everyone cancelled their Hulu subscriptions and wrote to ABC/Disney/etc? You can do the same for this. I cancelled my Paramount subscription and I will be writing to them as well.
